In my concept, the story takes place ten years after issue 14 of Volume 3 of the late series.
The Pride has reformed and one of its targets is the destruction of the Runaways and using Alex Wilder, freshly resurected by the Pride as an obedient zombie for their dark designs.
The group has disbanded since a long time, then and all are living their lives in different states.
One day, Nico Minoru gets back home at Santa Barbara, California to find a deadly wounded Molly Hayes. Before her last breath, she explained that the Pride has reappeared and ambushed her at har job place, reavealing her true identity and abilities to the public. She makes Nico promise to alert all the other and do everything to protect them. And the youngest of them dies.
In the following weeks, Nico travel all over the states to protect her former teammates from the Pride.
Xavin ended her relationship with Karolina Dean and left for outer space to rebuild the Skrull Empire. Karolinais now a investigation journalist in Omaha, Nebraska.
Chase Stein is a firefighter in Houston, Texas and uses his special gloves on duty. Victor Mancha is a young construction worker in Seattle, Washington, that refused to use his powers until now.
Nico Minoru magic powers have grown so powerful that at one point she was able to resurect Alex Wilder's soul. He finally finds the way to escape the Pride influence and join his former friends.
He resumed his role as the leader, trained himself phisically to match his strategic skills and genius intellect. Both charcters started to date not long after his return and are now engaged.
Nico has also find away to return Gertrude's soul to our plane of existence and merge it with Gertrude's Old Lace's. Old Lace has grown to be a super large and dangerous 87th century T-Rex that can talk!
Together they form the brand new adult version of what they were ten years ago, to survive the Pride at first and then make 'em pay for the loss of Molly Hayes!
